Self-consciousness & Cognition Model

A developing model for examining consciousness, cognition, boundaries, imagination and the unknown.

What it is

A visual and conceptual model that treats consciousness as a process/channel connecting signal, memory, subjective processing, cognition and behaviour.

Why it exists

It provides a structure for thinking about self-awareness and cognitive limits without pretending that the model is a final scientific account.

Current development

Version 2 expands the initial model toward cognitive boundaries, imagination, creativity, time and the inaccessible realm.

The Engine 59 Methodology v2.0

A process structure designed to demonstrate how ‘The Engine 59’, as an organisation, produces design outcomes.

What it is

In design, the role is to assess and judge among numerous possibilities and actual requirements, using critical thinking and empathy to reach reality. It should be about utilising the uniqueness of different human perspectives and the diversity of societal roles to integrate and diversify innovative thinking, thereby ensuring a sufficiently comprehensive understanding of value.

Why it exists

'Design should not become a fixed process as a restriction.' Rather, it is based on the proposition itself to maximise the likelihood of an optimal solution; it is adaptable, flexible and human-centred.

Current development

The methodology is underpinned by a comprehensive theoretical framework and is applied in practical projects.
